Shhhh.

It is important to be quiet during a test or a quiz. The first reason for being quiet is so that the teacher does not accuse you of cheating. The simplest way for a student to cheat is to ask another student for the answer to a particular question. Typically, the first student who makes noise is the one noticed by the teacher. Sometimes, this is not the case and the second student is noticed and assumed to be the cheater, even if the second student is telling the first student to be quiet. If someone asks for an answer, the best course of action is to remain silent.

The second reason for being quiet during a quiz is so that you do not disrupt other students. You may be thinking out loud or you may not even notice that you are talking, but it can cause your classmates to lose focus and listen to you instead of thinking about the answers to the material in front of them. It is rather impolite to make too much noise during a test or a quiz, so keep quiet.
