Happy Friday!

We've made it through yet another week of level 6. Great work! You are all doing a great job with the rotation of teachers that are teaching you on a daily basis. This week was a great week for me in the classroom as a teacher. I saw wonderful improvement from you in your group work skills, and that makes me very happy. Your presentation skills blew me away. I was pleasantly surprised by some of you and it makes me very excited to get to work on the final presentations. I'm very proud of each of you. Keep up the good work.

Today in class we worked on 6-3c. You have all made good progress in your group-work skills. Great work. Paraphrasing is difficult, but it's a terribly important skill to have in college. You should be able to use these skills when we practice our presentations and essays in the near future.

Homework:
Make a 3 minute presentation for tomorrow morning based on the two articles that you found on Tuesday. You will be graded on completeness of your presentation. You must have an introduction, at least two main ideas, and a conclusion and your presentation must be 3 minutes long. See you tomorrow.

Homework for the weekend:
For Monday, you should complete through chapter 8 of Animal Farm. We are a little behind, and I want to give you a chance to catch up. If you have not completed some of the chapter exercises up to, and including chapter 8, please use this weekend to catch up on them.

The journal entry for Monday will cover the events of chapter 8.

We will read the last chapter of the story Tuesday night and we will use class time on Wednesday to review the whole book. We will then take the final Animal Farm quiz on Thursday. On Friday (21Aug2015), we will have a Reading, Listening, and Writing quiz, as usual.

Tonight, read chapter 7 and complete the worksheet. You are still responsible for chapter 6 worksheet before the Animal Farm quiz on Friday.
