Please read pages 1-10 of The Rocking Horse Winner by D.H. Lawrence. Please take notes on what you read. You should include vocabulary that you don't know, or had to look up, any questions that you have while reading, and parts of the story that you like. Your notes should also include information about the characters, where/when the story takes place, what actually happens during the story, and anything else that you find interesting. You will be graded on these notes and you will use them to write in your journal.

It's Friday! The Michigan test is over. I got essays from most of you, and I have to say that I am quite happy with them. Some of you need to put your essay in the correct format. I have sent an email to those this affects. Your task for the weekend is to make your presentation. You must have a visual aid on Monday to practice with. We will work on them as needed in class, but you must have something to show as you practice your presentation. Feel free to use Prezi.com or google slides. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
