It's already the weekend. Michigan tests are over and now it's time to start our first novel, Animal Farm. We will be reading and discussing one chapter per day. You will read the first chapter this weekend and we will discuss it on Monday. Please, take good notes while you read. You will be able to use your notes on the exam, so it is worth your time to write down as much as you can. Here is a link to the novel:

Feel free to read ahead and take notes, just make sure that you are prepared to discuss the chapters as they are due. You will be graded on a combination of your notes and your ability to add to the discussion of the material from the chapter. This grade will take the place of your journal grade for the next two weeks. We will be taking a long, in-depth look at this novel, so please be prepared to be involved.
