Updated Schedule

Students,

Remember that our schedule has changed a bit. Tomorrow, you need to be finished with your essay so that you can begin working on your presentation. On Thursday, we will take our final exam. It will not take the entire class time, so we will have a bit of time to work on presentations. Your final presentation, in front of the school, will be on Friday, after the morning break. See you in the morning.

For the Weekend

Please, complete your outline for your Final Essay. Come to class Monday with something that we can work with. You must outline all five paragraphs for Monday. Remember, you are still responsible for writing your blog entries.

For Thursday

Tonight, work on your outlines. They don't need to be perfect, just get your ideas down and fill in the blanks. Tomorrow, we have the Michigan test. Please, don't forget to write in your blogs.

Class Start Time

Starting tomorrow, we will go back to our regular schedule. We will begin class at 9 am and take a 10 minute break at 10:30. We will take 1 hour from noon to 1 pm. Please, make any necessary arrangements to ensure your prompt arrival in the morning. Thanks.

Homework for Monday

Please finish any of the parts of 8-1b that you didn't today. Then, read this article, and be prepared to write about it in your journal tomorrow. Also, remember to write in your blog.

Start Time for Class

For the rest of Ramadan, we will start class at 10 am. This means that we will only take a break for you to pray. Please be here on Monday before 10:01. Have a great weekend.

For Thursday Evening

Please finish and share your quiz before 5 pm tonight. Please come to class at 9 am prepared to take a RLW quiz. We will also decide what time class will start for the rest of Ramadan.

Change of class time

For Ramadan, we have been meeting at 10 am. Starting tomorrow, we will go back to our regular start time of 9 am. We will have all of our regular breaks. Please, be here on time tomorrow morning, at 9 am.

Homework for Monday night

Please read up to page 43 in Old Man and The Sea, and complete the questions that I have emailed to you. Remember to work on your blog and grammar is all done for the quarter.

Old Man and The Sea

Over the weekend, please read pages 1-23 of Old Man and The Sea and answer the questions that I have emailed to you. The questions are graded and are due Monday before 8 am. Here is the audio book for you to listen as you read.

Wednesday

For homework, complete exercises 2 and 5 on 7-1a, due at 8 am. Please, remember that we are going to Cheney to visit Eastern Washington University in the morning. We will leave from the school at 9:05 am. Please be here early. Dress for warm weather, bring bus fare ($1.50 each way), and money for lunch. Remember to write in your blog and work on your grammar.
